I would hope that those who are near to me have realized by now that I have a kind soul. I have hopes and dreams just as much as the next person, but I also make just as many mistakes. Looking at me you might never guess my story, just as if I looked at you, I’m sure I’d make the same misinterpreted judgment myself.
I have days where I miss my inspiration. Days that I miss my hearts, my faith-holders, my guardian angels. I have weeks where I feel miserable and sad but for some reason I’m never hopeless.
Today though, today it dawned on me that this world is magical. It’s beautiful with all its wonders, enchanting faces and stories yet to be told. I always wondered why walking into a bookstore overwhelmed me and now I see why. I could be in one world one moment and a completely different one the next. I love that feeling. I had the same exasperating moment today just here in my home.
Even though this moment did come about through someone else’s story, I interpreted it in my own way. I thought back to those days where I feel just absolutely miserable and sad and remembered that I do still have hope for a reason. There is always reason for hope.
For there will always be a tomorrow. It won’t be the same as yesterday or today, not as happy or exciting, but at the very least, there is a tomorrow. Whether today you face your biggest fear or begin your greatest adventure, tomorrow arrives just as soon as this very moment.
Everyone has always told me that nothing is faster than the speed of light, but for some reason it makes more sense to me that nothing is faster than the speed of time. All of it could change in the blink of an eye. It will, undoubtedly, and already has.
No matter what has happened, what is now or what is to come, the earth continues to turn. As depressing as that may seem, we sometimes feel situations are so heartbreaking that the earth should stop. Yet, it doesn’t.
We must all stop ourselves. Take the time to close our eyes, inhale, exhale, then open them to see that we are still here. We are still here to change what we want to change, to learn what we want to know, to find what we’ve been searching for… anything.
Every night before I drift into the galaxy of hopes and dreams, I thank God for today and a chance to make tomorrow better. There will always be bad days, but there will also always be beautiful days.
Remember the fear, the heartbreak, the regret and the lack of faith but set it aside deep in your mind and take in that intoxicating oxygen that keeps our hearts pumping the blood that keeps us warm. The warmth that we could all share. Not only with those near and dear to us, but the entire world.
We remember and set aside, but dare not forget, the fear, the heartbreak, regret and lack of faith because we mustn’t take them for granted for they were a part of our lives and everything happens for a reason. They mold us into who we are and still, who we are to become. What we do with them though is on our own hearts and hands.
Even though my inspirations aren’t tangible today, I am. I do have fear, I am heartbroken, I do have one regret and at one point I was faithless but I will change what I want to change, learn what I want to know and more than anything; find what I’ve been searching for.
Don’t get me wrong, I have so many questions but I know I can’t live forever. Thank you, magnificent world, and I hope I don’t disappoint you.
