The Magnet program and volleyball teams are selling tickets, along with the PTSA, for a chance to win a 2008 Potamkin Honda Fit. No PTSA fundraiser has involved a car before, and this one will be able to raise $10,000 – five thousand will go to groups who helped sell five hundred tickets and five thousand to PTSA. With this money, PTSA will be able to grant money to students or clubs in need and fund events held through the PTSA.

“This fundraiser came to us at a perfect time,” PTSA President Robin Kettler said.

The winner will be able to save $13,950, which is the starting price for the Honda Fit. With gas prices at $4 per gallon, the car gets twenty-seven miles per gallon in city driving and thirty-four on the highway.

Tickets will be sold through Nov. 12. The purchaser is not limited to students and teachers; however, they must be at least 18 years-old. Tickets cost $20 each, and the charity raffle will be drawn Tuesday, Nov. 18 at the North Miami Beach Honda Showroom and the winner does not need to be present.
