Traveling around the holidays has become a regular tradition and for Cameron High School there is no difference. Many people from different places around the globe travel to family for the holidays. Whether it is a drive across town or across the country, people make time to see family this season.

"I am going to see my brother in Arkansas," said Senior Jacob Boswell. Going across town is one thing, but leaving the state and even country seem to be happening more and more. "I'm gonna drive, it will be fun."

Most people seem to want to drive during the holidays unless it is a great commute. "They usually cook some pretty good food," said Jacob. "I haven't hung out with him in a while so I am looking forward to it."

Junior Nathan Thomson said his trip will be much shorter. "I will be going to Kansas City to visit family". He says his family goes every year and it has become a tradition. When he was asked about any more traditions, Nathan said, "Sweep and Swap, which is basically all the adults bring a present for one boy and one girl then someone draws a number and gets first picks on the gifts and later on you can take from other people of pick from a pile."

Traditions have become a usual part of everyone's Christmas plans, though it's not always a Christmas card in the making.   "I'm going to Nebraska for the holidays", said Senior Tyler Bogeslaw. "Its more of a hassle because I have to get in a car with four other people and drive all the way," said Tyler.

Often times, those tips consist of more than one stop and many students go to more than just one house. "I am going to see both of my grandparents at two different parties."

The Holidays are about being together, and whether you are at home or going across state or out of state to visit the ones you love, you really think about what is important around Christmas time and the holidays. So have fun this year, no matter where you go.
