Saturday, March 12 was a very helpful day for Chance Greco and his family. The benefit for Chance was held in the Legion dining room at 5:30 p.m. Hamburgers and buffalo burgers were served along with desert. There were so many people there that the cooks ran out of burgers. Me being one of the cooks on the grill, we had to keep up a fast pace with the flipping and the grilling. Everyone was pleased with how it went and Chance and his mom, Lori, were grateful. Following the food portion of the benefit, there was a dance at 7:30 p.m. The benefit raised about 3,000 dollars from food and the dance raised a bit more I’m sure.
Chance suffers from a rare type of cancer that disintegrates the bones in his legs. With the money that was raised he will be able to have surgery and walk without crutches. Thank you to everyone who came out to eat good food and have some fun.
