It’s about that time for the seniors to start getting ready to leave the doors of Lake Shore, pack their bags, and go off to college or they might even stay at home and figure out what to do with their lives.
After leaving Lake Shore, seniors are trying to find productive things to do now that they have the choice of what to do with life. Some suggestions may be to spend time with the friends who matter most, find a job to save up some extra money for college, shop for your dorm, or maybe even apply for some last minute scholarships. Anything that could help prepare for college would be good ways to effectively and productively spend your time.
Reconcile and relive a few good memories, or make even more, throw a party, go to the movies, have a bonfire. Spend as much time with friends as possible. Spending time with family is a good option as well. Friends and family last a life time. Families are always there to pick you up when you fall. Spending time with parents or siblings before being shipped off to college is always a good idea. You think you won’t miss them until you’re away from home.
Even doing community service just to help out is a good way for seniors to spend their time. Get some friends together and help out the homeless, or volunteer at an animal shelter. Saving up some extra cash is never a bad idea. College is expensive and stressful. Having extra money could never hurt. You never know when you might need it. Working at a coffee house, movie store or any business near the college you’re attending would even be good ideas.
If you’re one of those students that doesn’t know what they want to do with their lives yet, its time to get real. This is the real world. Maybe look into something your interested in, pick the college you want to go to, and you could even enlist in the army. Try to consider your life. This is the chance to branch out and finally become your own person. Class of 2011, best year yet!
