This Thursday, December 15, KEYE is covering Taylor, Texas
for its “My Hometown Christmas” segment.
KEYE-TV is set to produce two live broadcasts on 4th
street, between Main and Talbot. The segments will be shown from 4-5 P.M. on
Austin Live, from 5-5:30 P.M. on Telemundo Austin, and on both the 5 P.M. and 6
P.M. live newscasts.
There will be food, entertainment, and many activities
available in the Heritage Square from 4:00- 7:30 PM. Entertainers include the
THS choir, the St. Mary’s student bell choir, Taylor’s Folkloric Dance Collaborative,
Christmas carols by an SPJST assisted living center group, and songs by our
very own Hannah Weison (12). The Taylor Economic Development Corporation, the
Taylor Marketing Team, and the Taylor Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring this
event.
Hotdogs and sausage wraps from Taylor Meat have been
donated, and Santa Clause will be taking free pictures in Heritage Square.
Santa’s pictures will be from 5:30-7:30 P.M., as well as carriage rides from
the Decotah Dream Team Carriage Rides.
