While walking the halls of THS, one can see many different styles. One of the major fashion statements among students are boots. Boots appeal to many students because of all the different styles. Some common styles include cowboy boots, fur boots, and knee-high boots. Cowboy boots seem to be the favorite among students, and more specifically, square-toe Ariats.
“I like square-toed boots because girls like the style and they’re easier to dance in,” Tyler Jaecks (11) said.
However, boys aren’t the only students who rock square-toe Ariats. Many girls’ square-toe Ariats can be spotted throughout THS.
“I like wearing ones that match everything, and I like Ariats because they’re comfortable and they’re really durable,” Amber Vrabel (11) said.
Many cowboy boot-wearing students favor boots over other shoes because they have worn boots since before they can remember.
“My first pair were brown pointy-toe boots with little pink squirrels on the sides,” Vrabel said.
On the other hand, boots are just now catching some students’ attention.
“I got my first pair for my 17th birthday and they were brown square-toe Justin boots,” Amanda Foster (12) said.
The many styles of boots have become a major fashion piece within THS. No matter each individual’s style, boots are a common factor between a large number of students.
