At-a-glance

At Trinity we consider ourselves to be a family. We are, as the year’s theme states, “Together As One.”

But if you take a look into the inner workings of Trinity, you can see blood family bonds run all throughout the school. Brothers, mothers and sons, fathers and sons, spouses, the list goes on and on. My goal in this and future feature stories is to uncover as many of those family bonds as possible so you can really see why at Trinity it’s “All in the Family.”

With the recent hiring of Mr. Peter Diehl--or “D2”--our school now boasts three members of the Diehl family. Before the hiring of Diehl 2 to teach math, we had Mr. Paul Diehl and his wife, Mrs. Marie Diehl, as members of the Trinity family. Peter Diehl is Paul’s brother.

Diehl 1, who also teaches math, has been in the Shamrocks' family for 14 years, and Marie has been working here for eight years.

Marie, who works in the Advancement Office, says, “I love coming to work every day.”

While we have had the duo of Marie and Paul for eight years--and hopefully many more to come—Diehl 2 joined the Rocks' family only two months ago. Peter Diehl came to Trinity from Maine.

In fact, it was Diehl 1 who told Diehl 2 about the job opening at Trinity.

It’s a good thing that he did. Diehl 1 said, “It’s nice to have family in the city.''

Of having additional family in the city, Marie said, “It’s just like being home.”

So what can we expect from this epic family trio? Surely not any family pranks--due to the fact that no one in the family said they would expect them--but only time will be able to tell on that one.

However, there have been some new nicknames thrown around. The trio has been called “Peter
Paul and Mary,” in addition to Paul Diehl being called “the real Diehl” and his brother being called “D2”; however, no matter what comes out of this dynamic trio, the situation is, according to D2, "a pretty sweet Diehl.”
