Spend a fun Halloween night at football game

It’s only fitting that the Warrior’s play tonight, boasting
our school colors of black and orange. These are, of
course, the traditional colors of Halloween, and they are
colors we must see lots of tonight.
The most important spirit that will be seen tonight is
not that of
Halloween ghosts
and goblins, but
that of Warrior
spirit in the stands
at Howard
Wood.
It is our duty
as upstanding WHS students to forgo the temptations of
the Empire Mall. I know that candy, warmth and dancers
performing the “Thriller” dance throughout the mall are
dangerously inviting, but that notion must be ignored for
the betterment of the team. If trick-or-treating is what
you want, perhaps you will enjoy coach Brian Hermanson
tricking the Kernels and treating the student section with
something to cheer about. Instead of roaming the streets
for candy, we must be roaring for WHS. Nothing will be
scarier than 300 dressed-up and pumped-up WHS students
spooking the Kernels all the way back to Mitchell.
So much fear will be struck into the Kernels that they may
even pop.
The goal of our school should be to mash up the
Kernels so badly that they turn into ethanol, enough to
power their bus back home. The only thing sweet for
Mitchell will be the candy corn costumes their student section
will be sporting. See you there!
Senior Jack Gordon wishes you a happy Halloween.
