After
being given the award for the “favorite album of the year,” she said, “I wrote
this album while I was on the Fearless Tour, and so I ended up writing lots of
these songs at 4 in the morning in hotel rooms…. And the fact that you would
honor it in this way, you just have no idea what this means to me….. I want to
thank all the fans for remembering the lyrics, and for caring about lyrics, I’m
just so thankful and I’m so happy.”
Swift also
took a last moment on the stage to thank those involved in her life, and
success. “I want to thank my band, and
my crew, and the fans for filling up the stadium. And my mom and dad my brother who came with
me tonight, and my fans who continue to amaze me.”
