Sunday November 20th, the 21 year old country music star, Taylor Swift took home 3 awards from the American Music Awards, at Nokia Theatre, Los Angeles, California.

“This is like one of the craziest things that has ever happened to me,” Taylor stated after the awards.

At the 39th annual music awards she took home all three awards she was nominated for, the favorite female artist of the year, the favorite album of the year (Speak Now), and also the covet artist of the year.

She received the “artist of the year,” award for the second time, and also won the favorite female country artist award for the 4th time in a row.  These three new trophies bring her to a new total of ten major American Music Awards trophies.

After being given the award for the “favorite album of the year,” she said, “I wrote this album while I was on the Fearless Tour, and so I ended up writing lots of these songs at 4 in the morning in hotel rooms…. And the fact that you would honor it in this way, you just have no idea what this means to me….. I want to thank all the fans for remembering the lyrics, and for caring about lyrics, I’m just so thankful and I’m so happy.”

Swift also took a last moment on the stage to thank those involved in her life, and success.  “I want to thank my band, and my crew, and the fans for filling up the stadium.  And my mom and dad my brother who came with me tonight, and my fans who continue to amaze me.”

I like to listen to Taylor Swift's songs. I watched the AMA's. She deserved the award.
