On June 14, 2011 the second season premiere of “Pretty Little Liars” aired on ABC Family. The ratings show that it is one of the biggest television shows of the year. Pretty Little Liars revolves around five girls by the names of Hanna Marin, Aria Montgomery, Spencer Hastings, Emily Fields, and the one and only, Allison DiLaurentis (The dead friend).

          The mid-season finale ended on August 30, 2011, leaving many fans wanting more. The mid-season episode ended with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger, leaving the crazy and addicted fans to wait until January 2. The directors gave fans a Halloween special, a flashback on how the story all began.

            The Halloween episode gave the fans clues for the upcoming season. It showed that Alison has been receiving messages from an unknown person who appears as “A”, way before Aria, Emily, Spencer and Hanna started receiving creepy messages from “A”. 

            What is the show Pretty Little Liars truly about? It starts off with five best friends, in the summer of 2010. One of the characters, Allison, disappears and is later found dead. After the mysterious death of Allison the four girls, Aria, Spencer, Emily, and Hanna, started receiving texts from an unknown person who appears as “A”.

           The unknown sender sends text messages to the girls, stating what they’re doing and also black mails them. The girls soon start playing the “A” game. Throughout the show, the girls try to figure out who “A” is, while thinking that “A” might be their dead best friend Allison. The closer they get to figuring out who “A” is, the more trouble they are getting into.

           Some fans are excited for the winter premiere. “Of course, I want to find out who “A” is and what happens to the girls after they’ve been accused of murder,” said senior Shaira Khatun.
