The world of technology has been rapidly advancing over the years. This advancement puts this generation far ahead of their parents. For example, teenagers today grow up with TVs, computers, cell phones and iPods. The availability of information is limitless on the web. Teenagers can access all the information they need at any given moment in the palm of their hand. Advancing technology puts this generation ahead of others in the job market. More jobs are based off technology, and teenagers are being taught more about technology in schools. Older generations have a harder time keeping up with the job market. They have to learn more about technology before finding a job, which takes more time. The current generation has the advantage of getting help from the past generation. Back in the 60’s, racism existed. It still does today, but people have come together to attempt to create peace. The past generation has gone through this, so they have the opportunity to teach the younger people how to live in peace with everyone. Another way this generation is better off is because the medical field has been advancing. Not only is the medical field big in the job market, but people also can live longer due to findings. We now know more on how to take care of our bodies to keep them healthy for longer than before. Less people are getting sick, and the sick people are being treated faster due to advancements in medicine. Teenagers now also have better ‘street smarts’. The world can be a very dangerous place. Lessons in school teach kids how to defend themselves against violence and bullying. Many steps are taken to prevent any person from being caused any harm. Houses are getting bigger, along with the job market and even the population. The success rate of today’s teenagers truly relies on the future. The job market is unpredictable; anything could happen. Teenagers do, however, have more opportunities than people today. There are hundreds of jobs that exist today that didn’t ten years ago. There are new jobs being created at this very moment. The world keeps advancing. It takes steps forward, not back. In the future, there will be more jobs and people. Technology will advance even more. This will take away human labor in some forms, but more technology jobs will be popping up. This generation will be much better off than the last, simply because the world learns more as time goes on.
