Not All Lost is a play that was held on the weekends of Friday, April 27 through May 6. The play was written by Fairfax freshman student Michelle Yoon, its debut featured an entire cast of Fairfax students.
The show was a success, having professional mentors that helped coach actors in the play, making the students understand the skills of professional actors. The production was made possible through The National Endowment for The Arts, The Dwight Stuart Youth Foundation, Witherbee Foundation, and Weingart Foundation.
The entire cast includes Cindy Castro, Christian Dignos, Andrew Dominguez, Michael Duffy , Bianka Estrada, Brittany Green, Thurman Green , Nicollo Guevarra Kashif Harris Victoria Imtanes, Shaquan Lewis, Joan Manansala, Nyah Melton, Wendy Montero, Jaclyn Ngan, Davon Phillips, Kathy Sayarath, Monique Scott, Nick Scroggs, Kemaunie Slicoand Christian Tun.
The play is about a teenage boy who grows up in an abusive home and can not find where to fit in or who to talk to about his problems. It was extremely entertaining including original songs, poems, and dancers performed by members of the cast that relates to the struggles in the play. The show is a play that teenagers can all relate to because of the issues presented in the play such as drug abuse, and abusive families. Throughout the play, the boy has a conscience which is characterized by an actor that follows him around and speaks his inner thoughts. Towards the end he no longer needs him, because he finds himself and becomes his own person and can speak for himself .
"Overall the play was an absolutely fabulous experience," said Brittany Green, a lead in the play.
