Jimmy Eat World has made a reputation of youthful concert rock, drawing in a fan base ranging from high school to middle- aged listeners. Upon the release of their latest album, “Invented,” fans awaited yet another dynamic album to jam to. The set has relatable, yet meticulous lyrics. It also has the same repetitive riffs, which are expected, just nothing memorable. The first track, “Heart is Hard to Find,” has a catchy rhythm and lyrics that listeners have experienced, but the track seems to go in one ear and out the other. It is followed by 11 other songs that raised the bar for boring. “Invented” didn’t completely disappoint, but it didn’t impress either.
