On March 28, the Lady Cards fast pitch softball team had a home game against the Bobcats of Pickett County, Tennessee.  The Lady Cards came out on top in the varsity game 12-1, and tied in the junior varsity game 6-6.
The key to winning the varsity game was the excellent pitching by the Lady Card’s pitcher, junior, Brianna Upchurch.   While the Bobcats took the early lead, the Cards fought back.  The Cards then led throughout the entire game, really exploding in the third and fourth innings to keep their impressive lead.
As of today, the Lady Cards, who are coached by Danny Upchurch, have a record of 3-0. They will be in action, this Friday when they take on Rockcastle County in an away game at 6:00 p.m.
