The Heart of Lake Cumberland 5th annual SpringFest begins today at Memorial Park.
The event, which begins at 5 p.m. today and runs thru 10 p.m. on Saturday, will feature live entertainment, including Rapid Transit, Klassyc Tymes, and Envy on Friday, and Molly Hatchet, Kris Bell, Stumpwater, Big T and the Twisters, Revered John, Faubush Hill, Monticello Jazz Band, and the Bell Tones on  Saturday.
Another popular event at SpringFest is the KidZone, where children can play on inflatables free of charge.  The Wayne County High School Key Club members will once again be volunteering to supervise the inflatable area.
This will be the fourth year Key Club president, Jackson Massengale, has worked the event.  Massengale said he has always enjoyed the experience.
“It is something I look forward to every year,” Massengale explains.
The event will also include arts and crafts, food, a 5K run and 1 mile fun run, car show, and a St. Jude children’s benefit motorcycle ride.
