It is time for Christmas cheer! - Molly Kelly

The Christmas holiday is well spent with food and desserts, along with smiles and joy. Spending time with friends and family makes enjoying the holidays easier without a lot of stress. One way to feel good during the holidays is with delicious holiday treats.

“We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup,” said Buddy the elf.

The wise words of Buddy the elf help us conclude that desserts can bring us closer together during the holidays. They bring more smiles and laughter to children, and for adults, desserts can also bring up topics on recipes and tradition.

“There are many desserts attached to the Christmas season and every family has their favorites,” agreed Stephanie Jaworski.

Importance of deserts during the holidays is simply that it’s a tradition. In a family, normally each member has a certain item they bring to the table every year. These are the items family members look forward to enjoying together. I know I look forward to my mother’s apple pie every Christmas as do others in my family.

The people you spend your time with during the holidays are the ones who matter most, and who want to spend such a great time of year with, so extra efforts need to be put into the meals.

Bakers all around the country sleep less and bake more during the Christmas season because it is up to them to give fresh holiday baked goods to society.

Several restaurants and cafes celebrate the season by having special holiday foods, such as Panera Break. Panera breaks into the holiday season with special holiday breads, pannetone, and mint chocolate crinkle cookies. They are all available during the months of November and December.

At Carlo’s Bake Shop in Hoboken, NJ, Christmas is insane.

“This is the busiest time of the year, you cannot make the stuff fast enough to meet with demand,” Buddy said.

Christmas is an important time of year, and there’s no better way to spend it than spending it with family, friends, and delicious desserts!
