Boy’s swimming action is heating up as Indianola swimmers prepare for districts. The swimmers have finished up the regular season strong, and they’re looking forward to districts and state.
“The season got off to rough start,” said senior captain Drew Peeler. “But we powered through it and had a great season.”
The season of ups and downs included a first-place finish in the Newton Invitational and a win over conference rival Southeast Polk, along with other wins. The wins will give the Indians some confidence going into districts, but they can’t afford to think about the past.
“We need to focus on the task ahead of us,” said Peeler. “We need to get the most out of every practice.”
Districts are Feb. 4 and the state meet is the following weekend of Feb. 11-12.
