Take on the challange and donate. South Warren highschool is hosting a blood drive Friday, March 30th in the upper gym from 8:00 AM- 1:00 PM. It only takes around 15 minutes! You also get a drink and a small snack while you're giving the blood. Interested? All you have to do is a few simple things. First, make sure you’re sixteen or older and weigh over 110 pounds. Next, if you haven’t already signed up in the cafeteria, go to room 209 (Mrs.Waddell's room) to get the form or you can email her; if you’re under eighteen you have to get a health form signed by your parents. (Make sure you return it to Mrs. Waddell before the 30th.) Finally, don’t forget to drink lots of water, get a good night’s sleep, and maintain a healthy iron level by eating lots of spinach, red meat, fish, beans, or any iron-fortified cereals such as Raisin Bran, prior to giving the blood.
If you have any more questions contact Mrs. Waddell or any junior or freshman in student council.
