Girls, how many times has this happened: It is a girl’s day out and all of a sudden a gorgeous guy is spotted walking down the street. He smiles and winks and all of the girls in the group melt. However, once he passes by, all the love struck girls turn around to look at his attractive backside and instead of the expected view, all that they see is a pair of bright green boxers? So much for Romeo.
Fashion flops, such as these, are not uncommon in the boy world. One folly is when a guy’s wardrobe consists of one color scheme. For example: all camouflage or all black. For this, there could be exceptions such as if the guy is in the military, or if he is a funeral director. Unless the guy is going to kill a deer every day, he has no reason to wear camouflage around town. Who are they hiding from because it obviously stands out instead of camouflaging them? Also, when a guy’s shorts are shorter than his girlfriend’s, this could be a serious issue. Appropriate boy’s shorts length would be similar to the dress code three inches above the knee and no less. And guys, this includes swimsuits. Speedos are only acceptable if one is an Olympic swimmer. Now, surely there are guys that are thinking, “Well, none of this applies to me.” Well those guys spoke too soon, because we are far from done. The dreaded piercing also seems to be abundant within the male species. Earrings, nose rings, lip rings, etc. all fall under this category. If a guy has more holes in his face than his girlfriend, there could be a problem. The worst kind of piercing, however, is gauges. A gigantic hole in a guys ear does not exactly scream dateable. However, for the guys that do have these monstrosities, do not take them out in public. Under no circumstances is that ever necessary, because that big gaping hole in a guy’s ear is enough to send any girl running; and, by taking it out, the girl will still be running, only this time for the bathroom. And, as all girls know the list does not end there. There are still guys who wear way too many accessories: socks and sandals, excessive tattoos and “poppin’ the colla”. However, guys should not fret over their many fashion faux pas. Girls can look beyond the crazy outfits and accessories as long as the guy has a fashionable personality. That is where the real style comes from.
